Granola for breakfast, Cup of noodles for lunch and a pizza for dinner. You think you're eating light. Think again! 

There's nothing worse than thinking you're making healthy dietary choices and thinking that you're depriving yourself, only to find out that there's fat and sodium out the wazoo in the "healthful" foods you're eating. The Center for Science in the Public Interest has released its list of 10 foods you should never eat, and topping that list are a couple of nutrition catastrophes that could be mistaken for better-for-you alternatives.

Here are 5 of the top 10 offenders:

Burger King French fries: These are considered the worst french fries you can buy at a fast-food restaurant. more  transfat oil is absorbed because of the salt. A king size order of fries packs 590 calories and 30 grams of fat — 12 of them artery-clogging. That’s worse than McDonald’s Super Size Fries — and more than half the “bad” fat you should get in an entire day.

Nissin Cup of Noodles: You may have eaten Nissin Cup Noodles with Shrimp as a starving student because they were easy on your wallet. Turns out, they're hard on the body. Consider the fact that one of those steaming hot noodles is equal to eating about 14 potato chips. Like the chips, these noodles are pre-fried and salted. The fat fiasco doesn't stop there. Nissin fries the noodles in oh-so-bad-for-you palm oil and dumps six times more sodium (1,070 mg) in each cup than those 14 chips contain. A better option would be Fantastic Foods Chicken Free Raman Noodles.

Entenmann's Rich Frosted Donut. Before you dunk that Entenmann's Rich Frosted Donut in your morning coffee, be aware that just one contains as much artery-clogging fats and  transfats (10 grams) as a Big Mac. Try Entenmann's Light Donuts as an alternative if you have to have a donut.

Frito Lay's "Wow " Fat Free Chips. These chips, like Fat Free Pringles, are fried in Olean (olestra), the indigestible fat substitute. Olean doesn’t provide any calories, but in many people causes gastrointestinal symptoms — some people have said they suffered such severe cramps or diarrhea that they had to go to the emergency room. Olean also prevents the body’s absorption of carotenoids. These products won’t do much to help you lose weight or reduce your risk of heart attack, but might cause you a lot of misery. Instead buy baked potato or tortilla chips.

Denny's Grand Slam Breakfast. This belt-buster breakfast (2 eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 strips of bacon, and 2 pancakes) may seem like a great deal to your wallet, but it’s no bargain for your waistline or arteries. It’ll sock you with three-quarters of a day’s total fat (50 grams) and saturated fat (14 grams), nearly a full day’s sodium (2,240 mg), and one-and-a-half day’s cholesterol (460 mg) — not to mention 800 calories. If you’re craving a hearty breakfast, try Denny’s Slim Slam instead. It slashes the calories to 600, the fat to 12 grams, the saturated fat to 3 grams, and the cholesterol to a mere 35 mg.
