resilience and learning it
Last week during a heat wave, I was seriously drooping.  Just walking to my car in the sun knocked me out. Prior to the first mutiple sclerosis episode 32 years ago, heat wasn't an issue.  Since then,  I melt in heat and my function drops dramatically. But here's the thing:  once I'm in a cool place, I cool down and feel fine (or at least better). Lovely.  My body is still resilient, that way, after all this time. I hadn't noticed resilience in myself until I'd lived with illness for a decade.  When I recognized it, I sensed this would help...
